Biography
Dung is a Senior Patent Attorney at Rouse Legal Vietnam.
Dung is a qualified lawyer and qualified IP agent working on patent matters for over 17 years. She was previously at Tilleke & Gibbins (Vietnam) Ltd. and was Head of the Patent Division at Le & Le Intellectual Property Law Firm. Before that, she worked for Canon Vietnam Company Ltd. as Head of the Quality Control Group in the Assembly Department.
Dung’s background is in chemical and pharmaceutical patents, but she prosecutes patents in all areas, including mechanical, computer, telecoms and industrial designs. She also handles infringement matters, providing freedom-to-operate opinions, patent landscape studies, drafting oppositions, invalidation actions, carrying out prior art searches, and providing opinions on patentability for patents and design. She has successfully handled patent infringement cases under both administrative measures and court proceedings. Recently, Dung has handled a patent infringement case related to a complex SEP matter in the telecoms industry.
Dung co-authored the book Patent Claim Interpretation – Vietnam Chapter— Global Edition (Thomson Reuters) published in 2008, the latest edition in 2016, and Global Agriculture Law (1st Ed.) – Vietnam Chapter (European Lawyer Reference series, owned by Thomson Reuters), in 2015.
