Hamad is a Senior Legal Consultant and Head of Middle East Dispute Resolution.
Joining Rouse in 2017, Hamad is a Senior Legal Consultant in Dubai office and heading the Dispute Resolution Team. He has degrees in law from both Middlesex University in the London and The Lebanese University in Beirut.
Specializing in Trade Marks and Copyright Hamad manages comprehensive intellectual property portfolios for major multinational brands across the Middle East and North Africa. His proficiency in handling complex IP litigation cases has not only safeguarded his clients' interests but has also led to precedent-setting decisions that have shaped the regional IP landscape.
Hamad collaborates closely with multinational corporations to create effective anti-counterfeiting strategies and implement robust legal enforcement campaigns. He works closely with enforcement authorities, customs officials, economic departments, and courts to navigate the administrative, criminal, and judicial avenues for IP protection and dispute resolution. His consultancy extends to providing clients with thorough risk assessments and strategic guidance on IP registration, enforcement, litigation, and compliance, tailored to meet their specific needs.
In 2022, Hamad significantly contributed to a major consulting project aimed at developing an intellectual property strategy for a leading regional IP office. This endeavour highlights his commitment to advancing IP frameworks and supporting institutional growth within the region.
Beyond his consultancy and dispute resolution roles, Hamad is dedicated to capacity building and education. He conducts specialized IP training sessions for enforcement personnel in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, contributing to shaping the practice. As an IP expert, he has also contributed to the World Intellectual Property Organization's (WIPO) IP Clinics Program, offering guidance and mentorship to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from various Arab countries.
