Theresa leads Rouse’s Hong Kong trade marks team and has over 15 years of experience in the industry. As a result of her depth of knowledge on Hong Kong IP issues, she works closely with a range of multinational corporation and start-ups on the filing and prosecution of trade mark applications and the provision of advice on a range of contentious and non-contentious IP issues.

With degrees from both United Kingdom and Hong Kong universities, she initially practiced as a litigation solicitor in a local law firm, then worked as a solicitor in the Intellectual Property Department of the Hong Kong Government.

In Hong Kong, Theresa also works with advertising agencies and brand owners on marketing, advertising, commercial IP matters, trade claims, and privacy issues. This includes working on social media, metaverse, and traditional advertising platforms.

Theresa is a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Trade Mark Practitioners and works closely with the industry and the government on IP policies and legislation.
