Biography
Yoonyoung is a Registered Foreign Lawyer based in our Ho Chi Minh City office.
Yoonyoung works with a wide range of Korean clients on IP issues, including prosecution, enforcement, and providing legal advice on IP related matters including due diligent for M&A - particularly in the music industry. She has assisted many Korean governmental organizations such as the Korea Intellectual Property Service Center (KISTA), Korea IP Protection Agency (KOIPA), Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and non-governmental organizations such as the Korean Chamber of Commerce (KOCHAM) in Vietnam.
Yoongyoung regularly speaks at seminars hosted by KOCHAM and KIPO/KOTRA regarding IP issues in Southeast Asia. She has also contributed many IP related guides for the Korean IP community, including three instalments for KOCHAM's Economic Guidebook in 2018, 2019 and2020 on various IP subjects, two guides on IP protection on e-commerce platforms and a Vietnam IP enforcement guide. Yoonyoung will also be assisting with a separate schedule regarding IP change after the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
In addition to Yoonyoung's expertise, she frequently supports Korean clients on trade mark prosecution (filing, opposition, assignment, etc.) while advising on enforcement matters including trade mark, design, copyrights, and patent.
