A US multinational personal care company with multiple brands expanding their business in China

Client’s challenge

The client was expanding in China via cross-border e-commerce. As the business grew domestically, the legal, regulatory and IP challenges developed. They did not have their own China legal expertise. Effective management of the risks was critical to maintain market reputation.

Client’s challenge

Our client wanted to establish a WFOE in China to facilitate the expansion of their e-commerce business. 

They had previously been working with partners to test the market and generate sales. As the business had been proven to be successful, they wanted to establish their own market presence to grow revenue further.
