Junior Associate

Main duties
• Providing analyses and advice on trade mark disputes (both non-contentious and contentious) and prosecute responses to office actions, appeals, oppositions, and cancellations.
• Assisting senior IP Attorney and team on daily IP prosecution and enforcement matters.
• Co-ordinating with the trade mark/patents/enforcement team in Cambodia in handling assigned tasks.
• Preparing draft reports/advice and documents for filing.
• Managing diary and follow up with clients.
• Conversant in both English and Khmer languages - to be able to translate documents.
• Contacting and Liaising with local authorities when necessary.
• Managing and updating internal IP database.

Qualification and Requirements
• Qualified as an IP Agent or Lawyer.
• 2 - 5 years relevant IP experience gained in an IP legal environment.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Good understanding of the IP practice in Cambodia and preferably other jurisdictions.
• Good knowledge of trade mark and patents prosecution, including trade mark/patents filings, trade mark
searches, renewal, assignments, licensing, record of changes, etc.
• Good legal research skills, drafting and analyses on IP related business.
• Good interpersonal skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, and a team player, who willingly takes on tasks and supports colleagues and peers.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.
• Good organization skills and attentive to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft word, power point and excel.

Working conditions
• Working place: Phnom Penh
• Salary: Negotiable based on candidate’s experience.
