We are looking for a Paralegal to take part and assist in our growing dispute resolution/ legal practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide assistance to fee earners regarding various legal and non-legal tasks, including research, case management and invoicing
- Maintain, update and circulate workflow records, reminders and deadlines to the team
- Prepare Thai translations of documents such as Powers of Attorney, legal briefs, legal forms, Court procedural reports
- Cross-check and verify information and documents for accuracy
- Proofread documents
- Prepare legal forms, written reports and correspondence
- Prepare court bundles and case files as required
- Organize and track case files--both online and offline
- Interact with clients
- Assist on entire cases and specific tasks for any given matter
- Record all working hours and assist contract fee earners on recording their working hours
- Keep track and ensure all matters are dealt with in a timely manner
- Review and revise prebills and invoices in accordance with quotations and clients’ specific instructions
- Send finalized invoices to clients, monitor and chase clients for payment of outstanding invoices
- Organize and participate in team meetings
- Answer and transfer telephone calls from clients or governmental officers to fee earners
- Communicate with clients or governmental officers as instructed by fee earners
- Attend trainings as instructed and share information to team
- Prepare and file complaints and supporting documents and give statements to support cases as instructed by fee earners
- Attend and take notes in court hearings
- Attend, witness, take notes and photographs during and after raid actions, assist government officers as appropriate
- Arrange business trips and travel schedules
- Perform office administrations to support the team, including to file, photocopy, respond to emails and book rooms
To thrive as a Paralegal, you should excel at your administrative, organizational and communications skills. A plus would be if you possess basic knowledge of IP laws and court procedures.
An outstanding Paralegal will be a team player whose resourcefulness translates into excellent support to the team.
Qualification:
- Thai nationality
- A Bachelor's degree in Arts or related fields
- A Bachelor’s degree in Laws--a plus
- Previous work experience as a paralegal or in a law firm environment in a similar role--a plus
- Fluency in reading and writing skills in Thai and English
- Excellent command of MS Office, especially Words, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills as well as organizational and teamworking skills, to work effectively and cooperatively in a team and on own initiative
