The Role
The Senior Billing Analyst will be responsible for managing the billing process for a portfolio of clients and matters, working closely with Partners, lawyers, and internal Finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end legal billing process, from pre-bill review through to final invoice.
- Prepare and review client invoices in accordance with agreed billing schedules and requirements.
- Review time entries, disbursements, expenses, write-offs, write-downs, and billing adjustments.
- Ensure invoices comply with client-specific billing guidelines and engagement terms.
- Manage e-billing submissions and resolve rejected or disputed invoices.
- Monitor WIP and unbilled time and support timely billing.
- Manage credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue balances.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and client queries.
- Work closely with Partners, Associates, and Finance colleagues to resolve billing matters.

- Maintain accurate billing records and contribute to improvements in billing processes and controls.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant legal/law-firm billing experience.
- Experience working within an IP law firm or international law firm is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of legal billing processes, WIP, time recording, disbursements, and client billing guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict billing deadlines.
- Proactive, organised, and solution-oriented approach.
- Experience with Elite 3E is an advantage, but not essential.
