Senior Paralegal – Trade Mark/Enforcement Group

Main duties

Office Duties:
• Providing transactional and other legal support to IP Attorney in trade mark, patents, and enforcement team.
• Conducting comprehensive research work, including contacting, and liaising with the relevant authorities
where necessary.
• Drafting legal advice, report, document under the supervision of IP Attorney.
• Preparing and drafting documents for filing with relevant IP departments.
• Conversant in both English and Khmer languages - to be able to translate documents.
• Managing diary and following-up client works.
• Managing and updating internal database.
• Providing support to team where necessary.
• Conducting other tasks assigned by IP Attorney.

Outside Duties:
• Filing and/or submitting documents with relevant IP departments.
• Conferring with IP officers to follow-up IP matters.
• Conducting market research, investigation and other outside office tasks assigned by IP Attorney.

Requirements
• 1 - 3 years relevant IP experience gained in an IP legal environment.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Good understanding of the IP practice in Cambodia and preferably other jurisdictions.
• Good knowledge of trade mark and patents prosecution, including trade mark/patents filings, trade mark
searches, renewal, assignments, licensing, record of changes, etc.
• Good legal research skills, drafting and analyses on IP related business.
• Good interpersonal skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, and a team player, who willingly takes on tasks and supports colleagues and peers.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.
• Good organization skills and attentive to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft word, power point and excel.

Working conditions
• Working place: Phnom Penh
• Salary: Negotiable based on candidate’s experience.
