A world leading luxury business needed to advise their fashion maison on how to engage with innovative Chinese start-ups. The aim was to create partnerships to develop cutting edge in-store retail technologies and enhance the customer experience.
We provided a landscape brief to develop understanding of the unique nature of the start-up landscape in China, looking at both the opportunities and the risks. This included building a picture of retail innovation and the different collaboration models available. We advised on the management of potential partnerships including best practice for due diligence, dispute resolution and accounting for data protection regulations.
