On April 24, Amanda Yang was invited to speak at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) 2026 World IP Week.
The session focused on judicial and administrative IP protection, organized by the Intellectual Property Division of the University's Knowledge Transfer Office. Representatives from the Nansha District People's Court of Guangzhou, the Nansha Tribunal of the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court, the Nansha District Administration for Market Regulation, and Nansha Customs attended the event and shared their perspectives on IP protection.
Amanda spoke on "Overseas Trademark Protection Practices – Insights from Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand”, covering overseas IP risks, trademark registration requirements in three jurisdictions, and sharing practical strategies to against bad-faith trademark filings.
