Supplier Code of Conduct

Introduction:

At Rouse, we are committed to conducting business in a manner that promotes ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible practices. Our suppliers play a crucial role in supporting us by upholding these values. This Supplier Code of Conduct outlines our expectations of our suppliers for transparency, accountability, and responsible business practices.

We expect our suppliers to adhere to this Supplier Code of Conduct to help us meet our commitment to ethical and responsible business practices. We believe that working together in a spirit of transparency, accountability, and shared values will create a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

We expect our suppliers to comply with all laws, regulations, and standards applicable in the jurisdictions in which they operate. This includes Anti-bribery and Corruption, Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Modern Slavery, Health and Safety, and Environmental Impact.

2. Anti-bribery and Corruption

Our suppliers must not engage in any form of bribery, corruption, or unethical business practices. Our suppliers must uphold high standards of business integrity and transparency in all aspects of business.

3. Confidentiality and Privacy

Our suppliers must not disclose the confidential information of Rouse or Rouse’s clients without prior written consent from Rouse. Confidential information includes any information about Rouse, about Rouse’s business or about Rouse’s clients which is not generally available to the public.

Our suppliers must protect the personal data provided to them as a result of working with Rouse. Our suppliers must comply with applicable privacy laws and regulatory requirements when dealing with personal data.

4. Cyber Security

Our suppliers must implement, maintain and regularly review and improve appropriate measures to protect data against unauthorised access and cyber security risks and have to strategies to safeguard data against emerging and evolving cyber security risks.

Suppliers must notify Rouse immediately of any incident involving unauthorised access to Rouse’s, or Rouse’s clients, data.

5. Human Rights and Modern Slavery

We expect our suppliers to respect and uphold the fundamental human rights of their employees and to require the same of their suppliers. Our suppliers must comply with our Policy on preventing Modern Slavery and not engage in any form of forced or child labour.

6. Health and Safety

We expect our suppliers to provide a safe and healthy working environment for their employees, contractors, and visitors and to comply with all applicable health and safety laws and regulations.

7. Environmental Impact

We expect our suppliers to comply with environmental laws and regulations and to minimize their environmental impact by reducing waste, conserving resources, and promoting sustainable practices.

8. Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DE&I)

We ask our suppliers to embrace and promote diversity, equality, and inclusion within their organisations. This includes:

  • Workforce Diversity: Actively promoting diversity in the workforce and fostering an inclusive workplace culture that welcomes individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity or other personal characteristics.
  • Equal Opportunities: Providing equal opportunities for career growth and development to all employees, ensuring fair treatment and access to training and advancement regardless of personal characteristics.
  • Non-discrimination: Ensuring discrimination or harassment based on any personal characteristics is strictly prohibited.
  • Accessibility: Making reasonable efforts to ensure that facilities, products, and services are accessible to individuals with disabilities.

We may ask for information from our suppliers to support our reporting in promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion.
