Rouse is an 'extremely competent' consultancy firm that has been operating as a specialist IP practice in China since 1993. The team, which 'has excellent knowledge and experience', provides a complete range of IP services for multinational clients in China, including trade marks, patents and IP enforcement; in recent years, it has begun to act for Chinese multinationals on outbound IP issues. The firm's client base covers a broad range of sectors, from FMCG and luxury goods to pharmaceuticals, TMT and manufacturing. Shanghai-based principal general manager for China, Linda Chang, was one of the first trade mark agents to qualify under China's emerging IP regulatory system. Principals Hatty Cui and Amanda Yang are trade mark specialists in the Beijing office, where Joshua Mandell is the general manager. In Shanghai, principal Melanie Zhu is experienced in managing a wide variety of trade mark portfolios.

Suryomurcito & Co. in association with Rouse stands out for its sizable team alongside its memberships of an IP specialist global network. Nicholas Redfearn is deputy CEO of the Rouse network and is well placed to handle enforcement work across Asia due to his experience in working in multiple countries across the region. Yurio Astary is a key name for the firm's trademark work and has advised on portfolios and enforcement for Starbucks, ExxonMobil and the major domestic company Tiket.com. Trademark prosecution is a particular strength of Lisa Yong, both domestically and in other ASEAN countries. Kin Wah Chow is very experienced in handling enforcement work for international clients, most recently for Harley Davidson and Decathalon. It assists these and Thai companies a range of IP matters. Manoon Changchumni heads up the patent team while Peeraya Thammasujarit leads the dispute resolution work of the firm, such as IP enforcement matters.
